DE: Der Sneum Digesø (Sneum Deichsee) bei der Schleuse der Sneum Å zur Nordsee entstand nach den Festigungsarbeiten am bestehenden Deich im Jahr 1991. Dabei wurde der hinter dem Deich vorhandene Klei abgebaggert und für den Ausbau verwendet. Der ausgebaggerte Bereich füllte sich in den folgenden Wochen nach Beendigung der Arbeiten mit Wasser und so entstand ein Rückzugsbereich für durchwandernde Vogelarten.
Am Parkplatz zur Sneum Sluse wurden vor einigen Jahren Schilder über die zu beobachtenden Vogelarten aufgestellt und auch ein kostenfreies Teleskop montiert. Damit kann man sich die Vögel und das Gebiet des Deichsees anschauen.

EN: The Sneum Digesø (Sneum dike lake) at the Sneum Å lock to the North Sea was created in 1991 after the strengthening work on the existing dike. The clay behind the dyke was dredged and used for the expansion. The dredged area filled with water in the weeks that followed after the work was completed, creating a retreat for migratory bird species.
A few years ago, signs about the bird species to be observed were put up at the car park at Sneum Sluse and a free telescope was also installed. With it you can look at the birds and the area of the dike lake.
