While it says Aspermont J H School on the building the plague next to the entrance says Aspermont High School erected 1930.

While the building pictured was erected in 1930, which is before the WPA began, there is a clipping in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth, Texas dated 25 Dec 1940 (Wed Page 15). The clipping says "Improve school facilities at Aspermont; WPA $29,254; school district $13, 704; workers 78".
I was unable to identify what "improvements" might have been made.
