Little Sahara State Park is comprised of about 1500 acres of razorback sand dunes. It is a popular destination for four-wheeling and motorcycling. Metal detecting is allowed, and no permit is required. Since there is a lot of motor traffic in the dunes your best prospects will be along the edges. There are several camping sites here as well and quite a bit can be found there. There are plenty of places to park along the east side of the dunes.

While we were geocaching we broke out the metal detector and scanned along a fence line. We found mostly trash; the most valuable item was a 25-cent piece.

Nothing much to say, it wasn't even a "state" quarter.
