Statue
Auf dem Theaterplatz vor dem Stadttheater von Baden steht ein Brunnenbecken mit einer Bronzefigur der Erato, die eine Lyra spielt. Erato ist eine der neun Musen in der griechischen Mythologie und zwar die der Liebesdichtung der Lyrik, des Gesanges und des Tanzes. Auf der Grundplatte der Statue befindet sich ein Gießerstempel der "k. k. (kaiserlich königlich) Kunsterzgießerei Wien". Auf der Plinthe speien zwei spitzohrige Köpfe (Satyre?) Wasser in das ovale Brunnenbecken.
"Bronzestatue der leierspielenden Figur Erato im Brunnen, Josef Valentin Kassin, 1902. 1912 als Spende von Rudolf Zöllner (von 1898 bis 1904 Bürgermeister der Stadt Baden) Gemeindeeigentum geworden. 1912 wurde diese Lyraspielerin als Symbol der leichten Lyrik und des Liebesliedes in einer früher bestandenen Blumenanlage vor dem Theater platziert. Die ovale Brunnenanlage wurde 1973 neu gestaltet und um 2001 auf dem Theaterplatz aufgestellt."

Statue
On the Theaterplatz (theater square) in front of the city theater of Baden there is a fountain basin with a bronze figure of Erato playing a lyre. Erato is one of the nine muses in Greek mythology, namely the one of love poetry of lyric, song and dance. On the base plate of the statue there is a foundry stamp of the "k. k. (kaiserlich königlich) Kunsterzgießerei Wien" (imperial royal art foundry Vienna). On the plinth, two pointy-eared heads (satyrs?) spout water into the oval fountain basin.

"Erato (minor planet designation: 62 Erato) is a carbonaceous Themistian asteroid from the outer region of the asteroid belt, approximately 95 kilometers (59 miles) in diameter. Photometric measurements during 2004–2005 showed a rotation period of 9.2213±0.0007 h with an amplitude of 0.116±0.005 in magnitude. It is orbiting the Sun with a period of 5.52 yr, a semimajor axis of 3.122 AU, and eccentricity of 0.178. The orbital plane is inclined by an angle of 2.22° to the plane of the ecliptic.
Erato is the first asteroid to have been credited with co-discoverers, Oskar Lesser and Wilhelm Forster, who discovered it on 14 September 1860, from the Berlin Observatory. It was their first and only asteroid discovery. The name was chosen by Johann Franz Encke, director of the observatory, and refers to Erato, the Muse of lyric poetry in Greek mythology. It has also been classified as an Eoan asteroid."
