Créé en 1968, le port de plaisance de Sant'Ambroggio reste l'un des principaux attraits touristiques de la commune de Lumio qui, depuis le 30 juin dernier, a obtenu la gestion du port Eugène-Ceccaldi dans le but de développer sa dimension économique et environnementale.
En effet, pendant plus de cinquante ans, ce dernier était sous la responsabilité du Yachting Club de Sant'Ambroggio. Après avoir entamé de nombreuses démarches, la municipalité a pu finalement récupérer cette compétence grâce notamment au soutien des services de l'État.
Jeudi matin, au cours d'une conférence de presse en présence notamment de Jean-Marie Séïté, l'architecte de ces différents projets, le maire de la commune, Etienne Suzzoni, a tenu à rappeler son implication et son ambition en vue d'obtenir le label port propre dont le projet final pourrait s'achever d'ici l'année 2023.
"Quand nous avons observé que le Yachting Club n'était pas prêt à reprendre la délégation, nous nous sommes rapidement concertés et positionnés sur ce projet, explique le maire de Lumio. Nous avons donc pu rédiger une passation de responsabilités avec les anciens gestionnaires et le soutien du sous-préfet de Calvi, Florent Farge." Afin d'assurer le bon fonctionnement du port de plaisance, la municipalité s'est entourée d'une équipe solide et disponible.
"Nous sommes fiers d'avoir pu créer trois emplois dédiés au port avec des jeunes originaires de la commune en contrat à durée indéterminée." Un projet global qui a été soutenu également par Florent Farge, présent lors de cette conférence de presse.
De nombreux travaux à prévoir
"Je me réjouis de la volonté de la municipalité d'aller de l'avant et d'engager de nouveaux projets au sein du port de plaisance Eugène-Ceccaldi. Nous avons pu travailler en étroite collaboration pour mener à bien cette initiative. Il est évident que les services de l'État accompagneront la commune tant sur le point technique que financier."
Dans le but d'avoir un port qui se différencie des autres et d'obtenir le label port propre, la municipalité a d'ores et déjà réalisé plusieurs travaux d'aménagements centrés sur le domaine écologique. En effet, le tri des poubelles par les services du port ou encore la gratuité des douches et de la laverie font partie des services déjà mis en vigueur par la commune.
"Nous disposons également de toilettes publiques totalement gratuites non seulement pour les usagers mais également pour les plagistes, explique Dominique Casta, adjoint au maire et délégué aux travaux. Le port est balayé tous les matins afin de maintenir une certaine propreté, notamment durant la période estivale. De plus, nous avons installé des bornes qui contrôlent la consommation d'énergie et la consommation d'eau des plaisanciers."
La municipalité a pu créer trois nouveaux emplois pour le fonctionnement du port.
L'ensemble de ces différents aménagements a été financé par la commune. Après avoir obtenu la gestion du port, la municipalité a d'ores et déjà engagé des études avec l'aide de l'État afin de réaliser tous les travaux d'infrastructures pour répondre aux normes du label port propre. Un coût financier qui, dans sa globalité, devrait s'élever à plus de deux millions d'euros.
"Dès l'année prochaine, les voitures seront interdites sur le port. Seuls des véhicules électriques pourront rentrer afin de transporter des particuliers. Les travaux les plus importants vont se situer au niveau de l'aire de carénage et de l'aire avitaillement. Tous les sols vont être cassés afin de réaliser une pente qui devrait recueillir les hydrocarbures. Il est également question de filtrer nos entrées d'égouts." Parmi les autres projets annoncés, la municipalité devrait acquérir un matériel de dépollution pour pouvoir faire barrage en cas de problème.
"Nous avons également engagé la formation des personnels qui est obligatoire pour l'obtention du label. De plus, nous allons devoir végétaliser les abords du port de plaisance toujours dans le but d'obtenir cette distinction environnementale. D'un point de vue financier, nous espérons obtenir des subventions de la part de l'État, de la région mais également de l'Europe afin de mener à bien l'ensemble de ces projets." Le club de plongée devrait également disposer de nouveaux bâtiments et l'aire de jeux sera remplacée par des espaces verts.
Un projet de grande ampleur qui participera activement au dynamisme et au développement de Sant'Ambroggio d'ici deux ans.

In order to have a port that is different from others and to obtain the clean port label, the municipality has already carried out several development works centered on the ecological field. Indeed, the sorting of garbage by the port services or the free showers and laundry are part of the services already implemented by the municipality.
We also have free public toilets not only for the users but also for the beachgoers," explains Dominique Casta, deputy mayor and delegate for works. The port is swept every morning to maintain a certain cleanliness, especially during the summer. In addition, we have installed terminals that monitor the energy and water consumption of boaters."
The municipality was able to create three new jobs for the operation of the harbor.
All of these various improvements were financed by the municipality. After obtaining the management of the port, the municipality has already begun studies with the help of the State in order to carry out all the infrastructure work to meet the standards of the clean port label. A financial cost that, in its entirety, should amount to over two million euros.
"From next year, cars will be banned from the port. Only electric vehicles will be allowed to enter in order to transport individuals. The most important work will be in the careening area and the refueling area. All the floors will be broken in order to create a slope that should collect the hydrocarbons. There is also talk of filtering our sewer inlets." Among other announced projects, the municipality is expected to acquire cleanup equipment to be able to dam up any problems.
"We've also begun the staff training that is mandatory to obtain the label. In addition, we will have to plant the marina's surroundings in order to obtain this environmental distinction. From a financial point of view, we hope to obtain subsidies from the State, the region but also from Europe in order to carry out all these projects". The diving club should also have new buildings and the playground will be replaced by green spaces.
A large-scale project that will actively participate in the dynamism and development of Sant'Ambroggio within two years.
