History
The history of this building dates back to the 15th century , when a Jewish banker named Cohen built a house for his family outside the walled city. But after the decree expelling the Jews from the Iberian Peninsula by order of the Catholic Monarchs , this Jew was forced to sell his house, buying it from the Dávila family, a noble family from Cáceres.
In the 16th century , the house changed hands again, this time Bishop Galarza acquired it (taking the building from his surname) and gave it to his family."
