This whale sculpture, called The Suspended Blue Ocean, was part of Groton CT's Whale Trail in 2005. There were originally several sculptures of whales decorated by different artists scattered throughout Mystic and Groton. This one has a permanent home in front of Bank Square Books in Mystic.
This whale was painted by Pamela Zagarenski, a famous children's book illustrator. It features pictures of different species of whales and fish.
