The Johanneswasserfall has been a protected natural monument since 1931. It takes its name from Archduke Johann. He discovered the beautiful waterfall and made it accessible to the general public through paths and a railing.

The Johannes waterfall is always worth a visit. But carefuly in winter. Take the photo from a save place.

The impressive natural spectacle can be walked on a circular route. For the narrow and at the end partly steep hiking trail, which runs rope-secured even behind the waterfall, however, it needs good shoes and sure-footedness.

Depending on the direction from which you approach the waterfall, you have to go up or down the wooden stairs. Here the water roars and you can feel the water droplets on your face.

(d) Ihr könnt hier eine schöne Wanderung zum 60 m hohen Johanneswasserfall unternehmen, oder einen kurzen Abstecher vom Parkplatz aus (folgt den Wanderschildern). Der Wasserfall fasziniert vor allem deswegen, weil ein Steig hinter den Wasserfall führt - das heißt, man kann hinter den Wasserfall gehen und dort tolle Fotos schießen. Nach einer alten Tradition kann sich derjenige, der unter einem Wasserfall steht, etwas wünschen. Und manchmal, wenn die Sonne scheint, kann man einen Regenbogen sehen. (siehe Foto)

Seit 1931 ist der Johanneswasserfall ein geschütztes Naturdenkmal. Seinen Namen hat er von Erzherzog Johann. Er entdeckte den beeindruckenden Wasserfall und machte ihn der Öffentlichkeit durch Erschließung und Geländeabsicherung zugänglich.

Der Johanneswasserfall ist immer einen Besuch wert. Aber Vorsicht im Winter. Macht das Foto dann von einem sicheren Ort aus.

Das imposante Naturschauspiel kann auf einem Rundweg erwandert werden. Für den schmalen und am Ende teilweise steilen Wanderweg, der auch hinter dem Wasserfall seilgesichert verläuft, braucht man jedoch passende Schuhe und Trittsicherheit.

Je nachdem aus welcher Richtung man sich dem Wasserfall nähert, muss man die Holztreppe hoch oder runter gehen. Hier tost das Wasser und man kann die Wassertropfen auf dem Gesicht spüren.
