The Lee Memorial Hall served the Town of Lee as a courthouse, meeting hall, police station, and theater as well as a Town Hall. The building was constructed in 1874 in the Italianate style designed by A.D. and B.C. Munyon and Charles T. Rathbun. The building is a memorial to the veterans from Lee who died during the Civil War.

The red brick, two-story high building has a mansard roof with a central pediment and turrets on the northwest and southwest corners. Each turret contains an arched dormers. The symmetrical façade is five bays wide with a set of steps leading up to a central recessed entrance which is flanked by a pair round of columns. A pair of windows with rounded tops and an ornamental keystone flank the entrance. The second story has matching windows at the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th bays. The middle second story bay has a triple palladian type window. Above this window is the inscription MEMORIAL HALL.

On the southwest corner of the building is the dedication:

ERECTED
BY THE TOWN OF
LEE
IN HONOR OF
THE MARTYRS
WHO FELL
AND THE HEROES
WHO FOUGHT
IN DEFENCE
OF LIBERTY
AND UNION
