The Lake Claire Recreational Area, which is located in the northwest corner of the University of Central Florida, has a network of trails that wrap around the titular lake.
There are two major trails: the 1.4-mile Lake Claire Loop, and the 0.6-mile Scrub Loop. There is also a short spur (labeled "Lookout") off the northeast of the Lake Claire Loop that contains several picnic tables. Note that the trails do not have unique signage.
Most of the trails are basic forest terrain, though several segments near the north of the Lake Claire Loop can be muddy or covered in roots.
