De plastiek van Goedhart beeldt 'cohesie' (samenhang) uit. De plastiek bestaat uit drie organische vormen. Twee ervan grijpen in elkaar en worden omstrengeld en bij elkaar gehouden door een derde. Met dit vormenspel komt niet alleen het begrip 'samenhang' tot uitdrukking. Het beeld vertoont ook een spanningsveld. Afhankelijk van de verschillende posities van waaruit het beeld bekeken kan worden, zijn twee begrippen zichtbaar: 'harmonie' en 'strijd'. Goedhart wil met dit beeld de balans tussen de verschillende stedelijke elementen weergeven, zoals de bebouwing, de dynamiek en het verkeer.

Het beeld heeft in de stadhuistuin van Nijmegen gestaan. Bij de herinrichting van het project Mariënburg, waarbij onder andere de Marikenstraat werd aangelegd, werd het beeld van die plek 'verdreven' en verplaatst naar deze locatie langs de Einsteinstraat.

Goedhart's sculpture depicts 'cohesion' (coherence). The plastic consists of three organic shapes. Two of them interlock and are entwined and held together by a third. This interplay of shapes not only expresses the concept of 'coherence'. The image also shows a field of tension. Depending on the different positions from which the image can be viewed, two concepts are visible: 'harmony' and 'struggle'. Goedhart wants to use this image to show the balance between the various urban elements, such as the buildings, the dynamics and the traffic.

The statue has been in the city hall garden of Nijmegen. During the redevelopment of the Mariënburg project, which included the construction of Marikenstraat, the image of that place was 'expelled' and moved to this location along Einsteinstraat.
