The white marble Broken Column memorial is getting a bit stained from weathering. It is on a multi-stepped platform set onto a concrete base. The lead lettering on the eastern face has leeching stains, and most of the column is slightly discoloured. The inscription reads:

In Loving Memory
of
our Dear Mother
MARGARET DAINTRY
died 20th August 1894
Aged 68 years

'Kind angels watch her sleeping dust
till Jesus comes to raise the just
Then may she wake with sweet surprise
And in her Saviour's image rise.'
