Kattegatcentret er et stort, dansk akvarium med mere end 250 arter af havdyr - heriblandt sæler, fisk og hajer, der lever i Kattegat, samt mange tropiske arter af fisk og hajer. Kattegatcentret er beliggende i Grenaa helt ud til Kattegat og åbnede i 1993. Det rummer bl.a. Hajtanken med 550.000 liter tropisk havvand og Oceanariet med fisk og andre dyr fra Kattegat, der boltrer sig på 1,5 mio. liter havvand. En akrylrude gør, at publikum kan se fiskene på tæt hold. Det er muligt at gå igennem Hajtanken via en hajtunnel, og man kan både dykke i Hajtanken og Oceanariet.

Kattegatcentrets formål er at udbrede kendskabet til livet i havet og havets miljø. Kattegatcentret er en selvejende fond og drives på non-profit basis. Udover udstillingsområderne har Kattegatcentret også en aktiv skoletjeneste, som besøges af godt 12.000 elever og studerende hvert år. Bygningen er tegnet af Kjær & Richter og er udvidet i 1996/1997.

Direktør er Helle Hegelund Knudsen. H.K.H. Prinsesse Marie har siden 2013 været protektor for Kattegatcentret. H.K.H. Prinsesse Marie indviede Kattegatcentrets store oplevelseszone, Havet in Action, i maj 2013.

The Kattegat Center is a large, Danish aquarium with more than 250 species of marine animals - including seals, fish and sharks that live in the Kattegat, as well as many tropical species of fish and sharks. Director is Helle Hegelund Knudsen. H.K.H. Princess Marie has been the patron of the Kattegat Center since 2013. H.K.H. Princess Marie inaugurated the Kattegat Center's large experience zone, the Sea in Action, in May 2013.
