Long Description:
In front of the tourist information centre, the memorial consists of a granite crouching lion on a granite plinth. The text is engraved in black on the plinth. The list includes the names of 25 individuals.

TO THE/ HONOURED MEMORY/ OF THOSE WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914-1919

The memorial was moved to this location after the Second World War. It was originally located farther along the promenade.
