NL Bij Ochten, langs de Waalbandijk, vind je Eethuisje de Veerstoep. Het dak is gevormd in de vorm van drie pyramides. Het leek me een beetje denken aan de pyramiden van Gizeh in Egypte, maar dan in kleinere schaal.

Eethuisje de Veerstoep is gelegen aan de zuidwest kant van het dorp Ochten en heeft een spectaculair uitzicht over de Waal. De afslag van de A15 is op slechts vijf minuten rijden gelegen. De Waalbandijk (weg langs het water) is een zeer populaire weg voor fiets & motortoeristen.

Eethuisje de Veerstoep is met recht een familiebedrijf te noemen. In 1962 kocht de vader van de huidige eigenaar op deze plek een frietkraam. Na deze jaren succesvol te hebben geëxploiteerd heeft de kraam in 1996 plaats gemaakt voor het huidige gebouw. De heropening van het bedrijf heeft in 1997 plaatsgevonden. Door de jaren heen zijn er diverse verbeteringen en verbouwingen doorgevoerd zodat alles er altijd spik en span bijstaat. De capaciteit is (pré COVID) met 70 zitplaatsen binnen en 100 op het terras zeer ruim te noemen.
ENG At Ochten, along the Waalbandijk, you will find Eethuisje de Veerstoep. The roof is formed in the shape of three pyramids. It seemed to me a bit reminiscent of the pyramids of Giza in Egypt, but on a smaller scale.

Eethuisje de Veerstoep is located on the southwest side of the village of Ochten and has a spectacular view over the Waal. The exit of the A15 is only a five-minute drive away. The Waalbandijk (road along the water) is a very popular road for will be & motorcycle tourists.

Eethuisje de Veerstoep can rightly be called a family business. In 1962 the father of the current owner bought a chip shop on this spot. After successfully operating these years, the stall made way for the current building in 1996. The company reopened in 1997. Over the years there have been various exercises and renovations, everything is always spick and span. The capacity is (pre-COVID) with 70 seats inside and 100 on land very spacious.
