This sewing machine is located in the Young historical museum, the former Baptist church. It was once the property of Mis Ola Young, postmistress, for whom the town was named. Seems there was already a town called Pleasant Valley, and the Post Office gets to decide what a town is called. The sewing machine was produced for the New Home Sewing Machine Company. No indication of whom produced it. The wooden chest on the side of the machine is not part of the machine. The machine does show some sign of wear but could still sew a good seam.
