De verzorgingsplaats is vernoemd naar het voormalige landgoed Oudenhorst. De verzorgingsplaats is begin jaren '90 gerealiseerd gelijktijdig met de aan de overzijde gelegen verzorgingsplaats Bloemheuvel.

De verzorgingsplaats Oudenhorst heeft een tankstation met uitgebreide parkeergelegenheid. Daarnaast is er een loopbrug aanwezig, zodat het op verzorgingsplaats Bloemheuvel aanwezige La Place restaurant kan worden bereikt. De verzorgingsplaats beschikt over 19 parkeerplaatsen voor vrachtwagens.

The Oudenhorst service area is a service area (VZP) along the A12 between Veenendaal and Maarsbergen, in the direction of Utrecht. On the other side is the Bloemheuvel service area. The rest area is named after the former Oudenhorst estate. The service area was realized in the early 1990s at the same time as the Bloemheuvel service area on the other side.

The Oudenhorst service area has a gas station with extensive parking. In addition, there is a footbridge, so that the La Place restaurant located at the Bloemheuvel rest area can be reached. The service area has 19 parking spaces for trucks.
