A group of wee folk fairy cottages greets visitors to the Housatonic River Walk in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. This village of half a dozen teeny homes is tucked along a step just past the gate for the Upstream section of the trail between 195 and 197 Main Street.

Each house is two stories, made from reclaimed materials, and cobbled catawampus but other than that, they're all unique. One has a wood shingle roof, another is metal. One is green and another yellow. One has a bell and another a surf board. Each door is special, too: pine bark, modern sleek wood, rustic red stain and curved, dark brown with deep wood grain. Bits and bobs both human made and nature made decorate all the sides.

The river walk is open to the public during daylight hours. Enter and exit the path via the stairs at Riverbank House and south Church parking lot only. Park along Main Street.
