Info from the plate;
COICORIN, the "love knot" cat, opens the doors to love.
Born when the San-ai Dream Center was opened in 1963, COICORIN has continued to watch over the Ginza shopping area.
COICORIN is "the cat who beckons love for one and all".
The COICORIN on the right facing the building is male, and the COICORIN on the left is female.
A favorite place to randezvous, people waiting in front of COICORIN tell COICORIN their fervent hopes and wishes. If women pet the male COICORIN, and men pet the female COICORIN, their love will be fulfilled.
COICORIN was brought to life by world-famous sculptor Nagare Masayuki, who carved his likeness out of Norwegian granite.
