"30+ years ago, Old Friends Vintage Guitars owner Emmett Taylor was one of the first G&L guitar dealers in 1980 at his shop he owned in South St. Louis County called Cliff Cave Music Co. That is the year Leo Fender and George Fullerton formed the G&L company. Taylor is again a dealer, now at his Wentzville store.

"Fender died several years ago but the company maintains that his DNA is in each of the guitars they make. When you get a G&L guitar or bass, you get a certificate of authenticity signed by Mr. Leo Fender, honorary chairman of G&L. Their guitars are also made in the USA." ~ Newstime  Feb 8, 2019
