This old pumper vehicle is located at the corner of Thornburn and Talbot Street at the Cayuga Fire Station. This 1854 Perry was built in Montreal and bought by the town in 1876 following a major fire. The pumper required 20 men to activate once at a fire, despite this it served the town for 40 years until it was replaced by a gasoline pumper in 1917.
