"Wie over of langs de Huissensestraat rijdt is het waarschijnlijk al opgevallen. Grote stalen ‘springende’ vissen op de middelste van de drie rotondes. De vissen worden sinds dit weekend geïnstalleerd door de maker, de Arnhemse kunstenaar Arild Veld samen met een aannemer.

Verbinding tussen Oost-Zuid & Oost-Noord
De stalen gebogen vissen vormen een verbinding tussen wijkdeel Oost-Zuid en Oost-Noord. Zo ‘springen’ ze via de rotonde vanuit het water aan de Lisdoddelaan in Oost-Zuid, naar het water aan de Visserslaan in Oost-Noord.

Eerste vijf van de dertien vissen
Voorlopig staan de eerste vijf vissen er op het middenstuk van de rotonde. De overige acht vissen zullen in de loop van de komende weken worden geplaatst in het water en aan de waterkanten van beide wijkdelen."

Large steel jumping fish on the sure of the three roundabouts. Since this weekend, the fish are being produced by the maker, the Arnhem artist Arild Veld, together with a contractor.

Connection between East-South & East-North
The steel bent fishes form a connection between the East-South and East-North districts. For example, they 'jump' via the roundabout from the water at Lisdoddelaan in East-South, to the water at Visserslaan in East-North.

First five out of thirteen fish
For the time being, the first five fish are in the middle of the roundabout. The other eight fish will be placed in the water and on the waterfronts of both districts in the loop of the weeks."
