The Haus zum Neuen Ochsen, formerly a Kurhaus (spa), was constructed in 1796 by Konrad Langenegger, is built in the style of most of the buildings on the central square of Gais, outer Appelzell, Switzerland. The hooded tower was added in 1833.
There is a butcher shop in the bottom corner by the town square.
