The Prince Edward Battery consists of a stone magazine and a brace of guns located on the south side of historic Victoria Park.

A high profile landmark, the site overlooks the mouth of the Charlottetown Harbour and is located next to a popular boardwalk. The site has recently been restored after being neglected for many years.

The timeline on Colonial Times Military History goes from 1805 to 1873. Two other timelines beside this one go from 1776 to 1873 and from 1873 to 1900. It is written in French and English, the two official languages of Canada.

The main subjects of this timeline are the Prince Edward Island Colonial Militia, Militia Volunteers, Patterson's Battery, Tartar's Battery, Crimean War, Prince of Wales Volunteers, and 1860s and the fear of the Fenians.
