A former 18th century coaching inn, this is now a friendly locals pub that supports many pub games, including, darts, pool, crib and skittles. The guest beer mainly comes from a Devon brewery. Sky and BT sports are available which can be mixed and matched over three TV screens. There is also juke box.

The building is grade II listed -
"Cl8, 3 storey, ground floor stuccoed, above is brick, lime-washed, with toothed eaves. slate roof. Front projection has wide open pediment with roundel with glazing bars. Floor bands. Ground floor sash windows with centre glazing bars. 3 flush frame sash windows with glazing bars and keystones to flat arches on lst floor of pedimented projection, centre window with eared architrave, dentil pediment and pulvinate frieze broken by triple keystone. Former coach doors below, replaced by modern entrance."
