This is W:O:A".

Der Refrain lautet:
A metal masterpiece
30 years of history
Ain't no better place to stay
This is W.O.A

30 years of metal sound
Stepping onto holy ground
Ain't no better place to stay
This is W.O.A

EN: For many thousands of metal heads, the heavy metal festival in the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein is a highlight of the year. The three-day festival has been held at the end of July/beginning of August every year since 1990. 85000 metalheads listen to about 200 bands on the different stages over the three days and generally have a good time. In addition, since the main road has to be closed to traffic anyway, the village community of Wacken organizes a big street festival, which attracts around 20,000 other visitors to the town in addition to the heavy metal fans who are already there.

To mark the festival's 30th anniversary, Dan Hougesen and Lars Jacobsen co-wrote with metal band Skyline, which performed already at the first Wacken Open Air, a song related to the festival: "This is W:O:A".

The chorus is:
A metal masterpiece
30 years of history
Ain't no better place to stay
This is W.O.A

30 years of metal sound
Stepping onto holy ground
Ain't no better place to stay
This is W.O.A

The coordinates are those of the W:O:A shop with the Wackenturm in the background, which serves as a contact point during the festival and is visible from afar.
