Beeldje van de stadsomroeper. Het beeldje stond sinds 1963 in de hal van het voormalige stadhuis aan de Westdam. In 1994 verhuisde het naar het nieuwe stadhuis aan de Blekerijlaan. Na de renovatie daarvan in 2017-2019 was daar geen plaats meer. Op 17 juli 2019 is het teruggeplaatst bij het oude stadhuis, maar nu in de tuin waar het voor iedereen zichtbaar is. Tevens is dat de plaats waar vroeger de stadsomroeper van Woerden zijn berichten aan de inwoners meedeelde
De Stadsomroeper slaat met een houten stok tegen een ijzeren pan.
Het was vroeger een manier om de bevolking te laten weten
dat er een mededeling gedaan ging worden. Het nieuws was
meestal afkomstig van het stadsbestuur of de plaatselijke winkeluers.
Bekend is de mededeling "Vlees in de centrale slachtplaats.
Zeg het voort, zeg het voort".

Statue of the city announcer. The statue had stood in the hall of the former town hall on the Westdam since 1963. In 1994, it moved to the new city hall on the Blekerijlaan. After its renovation in 2017-2019, there was no more room there. On 17 July 2019, it was returned to the old town hall, but now in the garden where it is visible to everyone.
