Leo loved. He loved his family: all 9 siblings; his parents, Anton and Grace Blake. He loved homemade bread, real milk and reading the paper. He loved his friends and community at Wichita Falls SHS and the track team he medaled with. Leo loved his larger family at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Leo so loved his country he enlisted in the Marines where he became the Captain's runner and was known as the Texas Longhorn. He was killed in action loving a purpose higher than himself while defending Sugarloaf Hill, Okinawa, Japan on Mother's Day.
