The sundial was donated by Sam Chippendale, a successful property developer who was born in Otley.
The sundial has a slate face standing at an angle on a stone base. The face has markings for time, month of the year and related Zodiac symbols.
There are also a number of plaques relating to both the method of using the sundial and the erection of the sundial, but sadly all have faded and are difficult to read.
