American Legion Post #255 is located at 97 W Harrington Rd, Croswell, MI 48422. Near the front entrance is a AH-1F Huey Cobra helicopter. The AH-1F variant had 143 production aircraft and 387 converted AH-1G Cobras. The AH-1F incorporates all Step 1 and 2 upgrades to the AH-1S. It also featured Step 3 upgrades: a head-up display, a laser rangefinder, an infrared jammer mounted above the engine exhaust, and an infrared suppressing engine exhaust system, and the M143 Air Data Subsystem (ADS). The AH-1F is also referred to as the "Modernized AH-1S", "AH-1S Modernized Cobra", or "AH-1S(MC)" prior to 1988.

(BH1) for 1,100 AH-1F Aircraft, which logged more than 1 million flight hours in Vietnam. The Ah-1F is fully capable of performing its attack mission in all weather conditions. Additional missions included direct air support, antitank armed escort, and air to air combat. The missile targeting system uses a telescopic sight unit, a laster augment tracking capability, thermal sights and a FLIR top allow for acquisition, launch, and tracking of all types of missiles in all weather conditions. The Cobra also uses a digital ballistic computer, a HUD, Doppler Nav, and a low speed air data sensor on the starboard side for firing, and has in-flight boresighting. Armored cockpit can withstand small arms fire, and composite blades and tailboom are able withstand damage from 23-MM cannon hits. Access restrictions: None
