This one is tough to describe. It is two machines, I believe, powered by water that drains from the roof of the parking garage. On one side is a waterwheel constructed of old canning jars, on the other side is an electromagnet and a pile of rusty springs that is activated every hour on the hour. To explain the function of this sculpture is a flow chart etched in glass. I'm still pondering the flow chart and how everything works so I'd love to hear from visitors what they think is going on. I've included a photo of the flow chart in the gallery.
The sculpture/kiosk is located next to the Sound Transit Tacoma Lightrail station, across the street from Freighthouse Square and the Sound Transit commuter train station.
