Long Description:
The Salado Public Library is located in a small Central Texas village of approximately 2100 residents. It is well stocked with over 23144 titles ranging from hardcover books, softcover books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and periodicals. The Salado Public Library is affiliated with the Texas Statewide Interlibrary system, which serves the rest of the libraries in Bell County and the rest of the state. The affiliation gives the Salado Public Library the ability to order materials across the Texas state and, on average, orders up to 15743 materials a year. You can call the Salado Public Library to find out the availability of certain materials before visiting the Salado Public Library.

The library district was established by voters in May 1998 during a special election, with local sales tax to provide district revenue. Salado is one of 15 library districts in Texas with public libraries funded by a district rather than a city or county. The library district is not funded by property taxes!
