The Westgate Building opened in 2004. At 768 feet, it is the longest building on campus. It includes a 955 foot pedestrian walkway over Atherton Street, offices, classrooms, research labs, cafe, and open gathering spaces.
The architects, Rafael Vinoly, New York, and Perfido Weiskopf, Pittsburgh, were inspired by the Ponte Vecchio in Florence.
Vistiors are welcome, but please be respectful of classes and private offices.
