As you can see from the main photo, this cross is located in Allgauer dairy country. It is within the local farmers' pasture area, and located atop a small prominent knoll called the Köpfle (literally, 'small head' for our non German speaking waymarkers). This area is called the Siedelalpe and is a place where hikers and gentle bikers like to 'wander' (this is casual hiking for folks that are unfamiliar). You can see the Alpsee and Immenstadt from here.
The cross is as simple as you can get, two wooden beams intersecting in the classic Latin fashion. There is seating to look around at the views.
