Esta ermita, como casi todas las del lugar, es de origen Árabe.
El lugar donde se asienta ha sido motivo de varias transformaciones a lo largo del tiempo, en función de las necesidades que el pueblo creaba, quedando actualmente sobre una amplia plataforma de piedra y bancos de construcción en su parte anterior y de tierra en su parte posterior.
Esta ermita fue reconvertida en honor de la Virgen de Fátima, siendo lugar de peregrinaje. Durante la segunda quincena de Mayo se celebra la romería grande de Jubrique en dicho lugar y alrededores.
Dicha festividad abarca la tarde-noche y todo el día siguiente hasta que oscurece. A comienzos de la noche se inicia una verbena popular que dura hasta el día siguiente.
Se celebran concursos populares, siendo uno de los más destacables el de comidas típicas locales.
Cuenta una leyenda popular que en este lugar se aparece un cura sin cabeza, debido a que fue enterrado de tal forma que su cabeza quedó bajo la ermita y el resto del cuerpo fuera.
Esta capilla está situada al poniente de la localidad. Es de traza redonda y en su interior existía un solo altar con la advocación de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores y una Cruz, que era muy visitada dada la gran devoción que hacia ella sentían las gentes del lugar. La capilla con el paso del tiempo quedó muy deteriorada.
Aunque su edificación es muy parecida a la Ermita del Castañuelo, la otra ermita de Jubrique, la del Chorrillo es algo mayor. La planta es de forma circular, de tres metros de diámetro, con un pórtico de pilastras y remate curvo. Su cubierta es una bóveda semiesférica de ladrillos. En su interior alberga una imagen de la Virgen de Fátima.

A popular legend tells that a headless priest appears in this place, because he was buried in such a way that his head was under the hermitage and the rest of the body was outside.
This chapel is located to the west of the town. It is round in shape and inside there was a single altar dedicated to Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and a Cross, which was highly visited given the great devotion that the local people felt towards it. The chapel with the passage of time was very deteriorated.
Although its building is very similar to the Hermitage of Castañuelo, the other hermitage in Jubrique, that of El Chorrillo, is somewhat larger. The plant is circular in shape, three meters in diameter, with a portico of pilasters and a curved top. Its roof is a hemispherical brick vault. Inside it houses an image of the Virgin of Fatima.
