This park was once the school yard, when the school was given to the city, the grounds became a park. The green area shown by Google is only half the park.

There is the new playground equipment the city promised, replacing the old fashion equipment that was once the property of the Old School. The old school building in now in the park and just next to the playground.
Also in the park is the city water tower.
This small community uses the park a lot, for city functions (Easter egg hunts, Halloween costume contests, etc), and is always open for children to just play.
