The oratory is dedicated to the cult of Saint Anthony of Padua, a monk of Portuguese origin, born in Lisbon in 1195.
He is credited with the miracle of finding things that had disappeared since he made the wine of the family that housed him reappear in the barrel from which he had escaped.
Saint Anthony is celebrated on June 13 every year.
It is the inhabitants of the district who open the chapel and maintain it.
