Two fitness centers here offer a large selection of exercise equipment: the blue section has higher bars, the yellow is for smaller individuals. The Iron Mountain Forge program has placed several markers at each station, providing information on exercise, heart health, and suggested activities to improve fitness.

Program:
The Iron Mountain Forge 10-Station Fitness Center is a well-rounded exercise program to enhance and maintain your health and physical well-being. The Fitness Center will improve your agility, strength and muscle tone.
Before participating in any strenuous physical activity or exercise program such as the Iron Mountain Forge program, a physician should be consulted to determine your physical condition, level of activity and ability to partake in this program.

Exercise Duration:
15 minutes is the recommended duration per session to obtain maximum benefit from the Iron Mountain Forge 10-Station Fitness Center program.

Exercise Frequency:
To acquire and maintain a consistent level of fitness, you should repeat your session at least 3 times per week. As your fitness level increases, you should increase the number of exercise sessions to six times per week.

Exercise Technique:
Listen to your body as you exercise. Problems which may e encountered when exercising are listed on the other side of this sign. The typical problems encountered in persons with normal health is due to over-exertion.

Cardiovascular Program:
This Fitness Center is concerned primarily with improving strength and flexibility. In order to participate in a complete exercise program, your cardiovascular health must also be improved. Consult your exercise instructor or recreation director for information on improving cardiovascular health.
