"The village is located on the Hambach in the Hunsrück. 57.5 percent of the municipal area is forested.

Just outside the village in a westerly direction is the Sauerbrunnen, a healing spring that has been known for many centuries. The spring and its drinking water are a popular destination, especially because of the high mineral content, which gives the water a very special taste.

Oberhambach is a national park community in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park."
