En la Acogida SIN TECHO, Caritas Diocesana de Palencia, desde el año 1983, está ofertando este servicio, ofreciendo a las personas la posibilidad de "afincarse", para que una vez asentadas, busquen una solución a sus problemas y finalmente alcancen la plena autonomía personal.

El proyecto se inicia tras la inauguración y puesta en marcha del nuevo centro, lo cual implica un reto importante.

Contar con una nueva infraestructura, construida teniendo en cuenta las nuevas necesidades detectadas, permite desarrollar el proyecto, facilitando la implementación de una metodología integral que abarque todas las dimensiones de la persona.

El nuevo centro da también la posibilidad de trabajar las diferentes “Fases del Proceso Personal y Grupal” siendo las más destacadas: Acogida, Asistencia, Formación, Promoción, Inserción, Sensibilización y Denuncia y social; Con espacios diferenciados, enmarcadas dentro de un Programa Integral que tratará de cubrir las necesidades detectadas, complementar lagunas existentes y suplir deficiencias, así como aportar un estilo propio de intervención basado en las causas inmediatas y subyacentes, otorgando el protagonismo de su Inserción a las Personas Sin Hogar, sensibilizando a la sociedad para que descubra su responsabilidad en los procesos de empobrecimiento y exclusión.

En este centro se atiende a personas Sin Hogar y, en colaboración con Pastoral Penitenciaria, a personas reclusas que salen con permiso penitenciario.

En la Diócesis de Palencia también se atiende a personas sin hogar en Carrión de los Condes, en Guardo, Herrera de Pisuerga, en Saldaña y en Cervera, por parte de voluntarios y voluntarias.

Comprende varios programas:

1.- Personas sin Hogar

Área de corta estancia: Se presta a todas las personas que llegan al Centro demandando cubrir sus necesidades básicas: alojamiento, manutención, higiene y ropa. Estos servicios se facilitan de forma limitada en el tiempo. cuenta con 15 plazas.

Área demedia y larga estancia: Participan en este área todas las personas que se comprometen a iniciar un proceso de promoción e inserción. El objetivo final es la emancipación y la integración progresiva en la sociedad, lo cual implica que la persona culmina su Itinerario Individual de inserción. Cuenta con 10 plazas.

2.- Situaciones específicas

Se acoge a personas en situaciones concretas que cuentan con unos objetivos programados y que precisan una estancia más larga en el Centro.

3.- Emergencias

Se atiende a personas con situaciones urgentes, que pueden llegar a través de los Servicios de Seguridad del Estado. Requieren una atención muy puntual. Se dispone de 5 plazas.

4.-Personas privadas de libertad

Acoge a personas que salen con permiso del Centro Penitenciario "La Moraleja" y no tienen hogar ni cuentan con personas que les puedan acoger en su domicilio. Se realiza en coordinación con el Centro Penitenciario y Pastoral Penitenciaria.
Desde el Centro se les apoya para facilitarles la adaptación al entorno social una vez que salgan definitivamente del Centro Penitenciario.
Además de los Programas anteriores, el Centro ofrece Servicios externos a personas que teniendo vivienda, carecen de algunas condiciones indispensables para llevar una vida digna. Estos servicios son: comedor, ducha, ropero, lavandería y peluquería.

It welcomes people who leave with permission from the "La Moraleja" Penitentiary Center and do not have a home or people who can welcome them into their home. It is carried out in coordination with the Penitentiary Center and Penitentiary Ministry.
The Center supports them to make it easier for them to adapt to the social environment once they leave the Penitentiary Center for good.
