This example of the Saskatchewan Provincial Shield of Arms is carved in bas relief on a stone fireplace in the Library of the Legislative Assembly Building, in Regina.
The coat of arms consists of the Saskatchewan shield of arms surmounted by the crown of King Edward VII, who was king when Saskatchewan became a separate province from the Northwest Territories in 1905. King Edward granted Saskatchewan their shield of arms in 1906. On both sides of the shield of arms fern fronds cascade downwards.
