In 2007 six books have been released at the beach of Oostkapelle. It is a bookcrossing zone now. I visited the Duinweg entrance in november 2022

If you are searching for a true family beach in the Dutch region Zeeland, a one with children playgrounds and a very shallow water, so the children can play in it safely, we recommend you to visit the beach Strand Duinweg. It is located near the city Oostkapelle and is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle. A very large parking place is 400m away from the beach. The path which leads to the beach is a paved one and is also suitable for handicapped people. The beach, especially at low tide, has immense proportions. It is several km long and more than 100 meters wide. The water entry is very nice, also because of the shallow water, but the point of swim is far out away. You have all the essential beach infrastructure, as well as children playgrounds located directly on the beach. A restaurant and a beach bar are as well here. If you like this place and you would like to spend your summer holidays here, you have many different options of accommodation nearby.
