This is a WPA funded project that is still serving the community. Construction took place between 1938 and 1939.

"Public Works Administration (PWA) funds supplied a $41,422 grant for the project, whose total cost was $87,141. PWA Docket No. PA X1902."

H.F. Everett & Associates were the architects and engineers. Arthur P. Houser (still in existence - local) was the general contractor, Lehigh Engineering (still in existence - Pottsville, PA) was the heating contractor, J. M. O'Donnell Co. (still in existence - Quakertown, PA) handled plumbing and East Penn Engineering (still in existence - Bangor, PA) was the electrical contractor.

The Borough Hall is located on South Fourth Street just south of the train track bridge. The Police Station is to the southwest.
