This bronze sculpture is set in honor of Princess Cartright's "Remmington," who lived from 7/7/2007 to 2/20/2020. Remmington served six years with the Independence Fire Department as a Fire Dog, assisting with fundraisers and community events. One notes that the local school mascot is also a bulldog. Remmington also won nine national championships as a show dog. According to the plaque at the sculpture, he "stole the heart of everyone who met him."
