This Santa Fe Trail Marker is on the west side of Highway 99, a few miles north of Admire. There is no parking here, you'll have to make do with the shoulder. There are many markers like this one along the Santa Fe Trail, set by the Daughters of the American Revolution and the State of Kansas. Many of these century-old markers have been moved from their original locations; in this case there is often a brass plaque on the marker giving that history. However, this marker does not bear any such information.
