The Port of Invergordon is operated by the Cromarty Firth Port Authority in an industrial area of Invergordon. The Town of Invergordon is built along the firth. A short walk from the dock takes you to the Castle Road, the main north south street. Shore Road, Clyde Street, and High Street are the two major east west streets.
The town is noted for eleven large murals that are painted on buildings along the east west streets. There is also a train station, a Church of Scotland, a Catholic church and Anglican church within the town limits.
