The Custom House Quay Clock Tower was built by William Clark in 1868. The clock has a blue square cast/wrought iron base which becomes a smaller octagon supporting a tall white round column with a Corinthian capital. The four sided clock is mounted on top of the column.
The clock face has Roman numerals within a pair of concentric circles. A six minute intervals are marked by black dashes within two outer rings. The hands of the clock are black. A rope motif surrounds the top half of the clock mount. Above the clock is an octagonal lantern and a crown belfry topped by a finial and a weather vane.
