This popular route was designated by the state as Pacific Highway in 1923, but prior to this was known as North Trunk Road. In 1913, most of the North Truck Road was paved with bricks. In the 1930s, Aurora Ave. had gone through improvements that straightened out the old windy road. Ronald Place was one of these places that the new highway bypassed and the brick paving has survived until the present day.
