The pepto-bismol pink hue of the building has been toned down just a bit in recent years. Still this Moorish Revival delight is an eye catcher - especially when viewed in good sunlight. It is worth taking a walk around the whole building to better appreciate the Moorish (based on the Alhambra) detailing. The Californian architects wanted to use a Spanish style, deemed appropriate for New Mexico, but wished to differentiate it from their California Spanish style, so, came up with this. hmmmmmmmm ? eeeeek
