In 1810 the Universalist Society of Leverett built this meetinghouse in the Moore's Corner village of Leverett, MA. After the Universalist Society disbanded in 1815, the lower floor was used as a school and the upper floor became a Congregationalist meetinghouse.

The school became the District #3 School of Moore's Corner in 1859. It has 8 grades and 30 pupils. In 1937 it served only the upper grades when the lower grades were sent to North Leverett. Both schools were closed when the new elementary school was built in 1950.

Around 1960 the building was restored and used as a library. In 1964 it became an historical museum of the Leverett Historical Society. (visit link)
